A great option for a complete piece of artwork is to have it printed on specially prepared and stretched canvas instead of paper. The giclee printing process ensures the quality, detail and longevity of the artwork but the canvas option more completely reproduces the effect of the original piece of art. After printing, the canvas is then wrapped around a stretcher (wooden frame) to create a complete piece of art, ready to be hung on the wall ‘out of the box”.

My preference of a gallery wrapped canvas print is to have it printed in a matte finish that provides a smooth, non-reflective surface that absorbs light rather than reflecting it, minimizing glare and preserving the depth of colors. The matte finish also protects the artwork against UV rays, dust, and handling. I usually opt for a .75 inch frame, but a thicker 1.5 inch frame is also available. And the edges of the artwork are typically finished in matt black, which sets off the colors of the artwork nicely, although other colors and options are available.

In preparation for printing, the artwork is scanned in a large ‘.tif’ file to ensure high quality and detail. The gallery wrapped canvas prints will come shipped direct from the professional printing firm that does my printing work.

For prints 15 inches or taller, a wire hanger is automatically added for superior support and balance. The wire's adaptability makes it easy to achieve a perfectly level display, providing a secure hold for larger artworks. This method ensures your piece remains a stable and striking focal point.

Every print under 15 inches is equipped with a sawtooth hanger, designed for simple, quick hanging. It's fixed at the top, ensuring your artwork sits flush against the wall with minimal fuss—ideal for accentuating smaller pieces.

Pricing

Gallery wrapped prints from 8”x 10” to 16”x24”, fall in the range of $120 to $300.

And, larger prints from 18”x18”, to as large as 36”x48”, will cost from $220 to $650.

These prices do not include applicable taxes or postage and packing.

Turnaround time on gallery-wrapped prints is typically 10-14 days.
