These larger birds have a character and personality to reflect their size and presence. The parrots were spotted in a bird park in the Yucatan peninsula. The pelicans, egrets, and the heron are familiar sights to all Floridians. The backgrounds to these paintings will be recognized as a homage to two of my painting heroes - Rothko and Albers.
